Dear Lovely Womyn, Queers, & Trans Folks, We are making a shout out to all those that identify with being IE RIOT GRRRLS and who would like to be part of a zine project. The purpose of this zine is to: ~uncover the riot grrrls inside of us ~demonstrate how the movement has been reclaimed ~explain how all kinds of womyns and queers have felt connected to the riot grrrl movement ~put to light many of our unheard voices ~reveal to all readers that feminism is alive in the IE ~ to show off our local beautiful and strong womyn and queers! *THIS PROJECT SHALL BE FREE OF ENVY, GOSSIP, & JEALOUSY and FILLED WITH QUEER/SISTERHOOD VIBES. WE SHALL WORK PAST WHAT WE ARE STEROTYPED TO BE; a BROKEN SOLIDARITY. THUS, WE SHOULD LOOK PAST OUR DIFFERENCES AND HAVE MUTUAL RESPECT and IE UNITY.* The IE RIOT GRRRLS Zine’s will cover interviews and photographs of local womyn, gender non-conforming individuals, and trans of all colors, ages, sexual orientations, sizes, and backgrounds. We encourage the participation of womyn of color, people with disabilities, LGBTQQIA individuals, parents (single mamas), shy and outspoken ones, musicians and all other forms of artists, curvaceous womyn, and all sizes REAL WOMYN. What is produced will be printed and distributed. Photographs will be made by Femmina X Photography and zine work made by Muñeca Rabia Distro.
